Dashboard

The Dashboard, ProjectLibre's portfolio KPI hub: compare projects in a grid of charts and tune each widget's metrics.

Tagline: Portfolio KPI hub — high-level project intelligence across many projects, not a single-project Gantt.

ProjectLibre’s Dashboard is the central hub for high-level project intelligence and KPIs. A dynamic widget grid (demo: 2×2) lets you compare portfolio projects with complementary chart types, then tune each widget’s metrics.

Portfolio KPI / project-intelligence hub

Unlike task-level Spreadsheet or Gantt views, Dashboard is for strategic oversight across the portfolio. Same projects appear on multiple widgets with consistent color legends so you can cross-read cost-like figures, bubble axes, donut rings, and bars.

Widget chrome — drag, gear, chart type, remove

Each card header includes:

  • Drag handle (six dots) — rearrange widgets.

  • Gear — opens Configure Columns / settings.

  • Chart type control (tooltip Chart type) — change the visualization.

  • Red X — remove the widget.

Header also shows global + Create and a filter (funnel) — present but not opened in this video (create flow belongs in Creating a New Project).

  2. Menu groups: Bars — Vertical Grouped | Vertical Stacked | Horizontal Grouped; Circular — Pie Chart | Donut Chart; Other — Bubble Chart.

Configure Columns — Active vs Available

  1. Widget header gear → Configure Columns.

  2. Modal chrome: title Configure Columns -; Search fields…; Expand All / Collapse All; Group by: Group | Type.

  3. Left: Available Fields (drag to add) — folder Main with fields such as start, finish, id, duration, percentComplete, work, cost, benefit.

  4. Right: Active Columns (drag to reorder) — badge count; demo starts with remainingWork, name (badge 2).

  5. Add percentComplete → badge 3; Active: remainingWork, name, percentComplete.

  6. Close (X) to return to the dashboard.

Different widgets can bind different Active fields — pie vs donut numbers can disagree for the same project until you align metrics. Same Active/Available pattern as Field Configuration / Gantt Field Configuration.
