Personal Settings & Avatar

Your personal Options panel: your avatar, Core or Pro experience, language and region formats, and new-task defaults — separate from Administration.

Your personal Options panel is separate from org Administration. It controls how you appear (avatar), whether you work in Core or Pro experience, and preferences such as language/region formatting, fullscreen dialogs, new-task defaults, EAC formula display, and the setup wizard. Org admins still create accounts under Administration & Security / User Management — this chapter is what each signed-in user configures for themselves.

In the left sidebar footer you will see your circular avatar, email chip, and red Sign out. Opening personal settings lands on a full panel headed with your email (demo: support@projectlibre.com). Top controls: Options (gear; active) · Reset. Close X. Footer: Cancel · Apply · Save. Layout: two columns of setting cards.

Language & region, dialogs, and other Options

Remaining Options cards shown in the video (exact UI titles):

  • Subview toggles — where Gantt / Spreadsheet / … toggles sit: Under section | At bottom (help: Pro mode only). Demo: Under section.

  • Fullscreen dialogs — Off | Auto | On. Help: Auto opens listed dialogs full-viewport on touch and as centered modals on desktop. Demo: On.

  • Language & region (formatting) — date and number formatting (e.g. 1,000.00 vs 1 000,00). Clear / Browser default follows the browser. Help: currency is set company-wide by an administrator (not in this panel).

  • Spreadsheet multi-select — Off | Auto | On (Auto: checkbox column on touch; click-and-drag on desktop). Demo: Auto.

New-task defaults & EAC formula

  • New tasks: effort driven — checkbox New tasks are effort driven (checked in demo). Help summary: when on (default), adding/removing a resource holds total work; when off, a resource brings/takes its own work. Never applies to a units change, nor to the first resource on a task.

  • New tasks: task type — which of Work = Duration × Units stays fixed: Fixed Units / Fixed Duration / Fixed Work. Applies to tasks created from now on; each task keeps its own setting in Edit. Demo: Fixed Units (default).

  • Earned value: EAC formula — how Estimate at Completion (and VAC) forecasts final cost. Help mentions MS Project formula, Additive, Schedule-adjusted; “A display choice — it changes what you see, not the schedule.” Demo dropdown: MS Project: AC + (BAC − EV) (label may truncate). For detailed EVM guidance, see Performance Management.

  • Run setup wizard — link in the right column to relaunch the onboarding setup wizard.
